Using the social posting feature

The social posting feature allows you to share your mailing on Twitter and Facebook, in just a few steps right within your account. It's an easy way to multiply the reach of your emails and turn casual social followers into dedicated email subscribers.

So, how's it done?

After sending a mailing, you'll see this confirmation screen:

If this is your first time sharing a mailing socially, you'll want to connect to your Twitter account, Facebook account or both before posting the mailing socially. (You'll only need to connect your accounts once.)

Connect your Twitter account, and post a mailing

  1. Click Connect to Twitter.
  2. Type in your Twitter username and password, and click Authorize app. Then, Twitter will route you back to your account.

  3. Fill in a message about your mailing that'll send out on Twitter. Our handy character counter lets you know how many characters you've got left. And we'll automatically add a link to your mailing (no need to paste in any sort of link to the message box). Now, choose to send the tweet now or at a scheduled time in the future. (Please be aware that a scheduled tweet cannot be canceled once it's been set.) Click Share.
  4. You'll see a confirmation screen to let you know you post was a success.

Note: When you choose to share now, it'll take a few minutes for the post to show up in your Twitter feed. Please be patient. If you click the share button multiple times, you'll see multiple posts on your page.

Connect your Facebook account & post a mailing

  1. On the mailing confirmation page, just after you've sent a mailing, click Connect to Facebook.
  2. Type in your Facebook username and password, and click Log In with Facebook.

  3. On the Request for Permission page, click Allow.

  4. Now, use the dropdown menu to choose to post to your personal wall or your brand's page. (If you choose your brand page, you'll still see your personal profile picture, since your personal profile is affiliated with your brand page.) Then, click Done.
  5. Type in the message you'd like to post to Facebook. For a preview, click What will this look like? Choose to share this now, or schedule it to post at a future time. (Please be aware that a scheduled post cannot be canceled once it's been set.) Then, click Share.
  6. You'll see a confirmation screen to let you know you post was a success.

Note: When you choose to share now, it'll take a few minutes for the post to show up on your Facebook wall. Please be patient. If you click the share button multiple times, you'll see multiple posts on your page.

Post a prior mailing to your networks

You can also socially post a mailing that you sent last week, last month or anytime in the past 18 months.

  1. Go to the main Response page. From the options arrow button to the right of the mailing, choose Post to a social network.

  2. In the pop-up modal, type your message for Twitter and/or Facebook. We'll automatically add your mailing's link to Twitter, and we'll add the link and subject line to Facebook.
  3. Choose to share now or at a future time and date. (Please note that a scheduled post cannot be canceled once it's been set.) Click Share.

Helpful tips

  • If you'd like to change the Twitter and Facebook accounts linked to your account, click the "adjust your social network settings" link after you've sent a mailing.
  • Have both a personal Facebook profile and a brand page? We will remember whichever page you picked, and it'll be ready to go when you log in next time. If you'd like to switch to the other identity, click the link to adjust your social settings.
You must to post a comment.
