To create a new subaccount, click the Accounts option in the menu at the top right:

To get started, click the Create a new account button, which directs you to this page:

Here, you can get started with an Active or Trial subaccount and establish a Trial subaccount as direct billed, if you'd like.

Direct billing is only available for subaccounts whose parent account is on contact-based pricing. If you are on volume-based pricing, you won't see a direct billing option when setting up your subaccounts.

Once you click save, you'll see a success page like this when you've created the account:

On the Accounts page, you'll see a list of all your subaccounts. Next to each subaccount, you'll find the account status, number of trial emails remaining (if applicable), the primary contact, and the billing type (if applicable). If there isn't a primary contact for the account, you'll see an option to set one:

This will take you to the manage team page, where you'll set a primary contact and create additional team members. You can find more information on your team by heading this way.

Once your account is created, you can update the account settings by choosing the View account settings option in the menu to the right of that subaccount in your accounts list.

From here, you can change the status of the account from Trial (demo) to Active, if you're going to be sending on their behalf, or to Retired, if it was created in error.* Further down on the Account settings page you can enter sender information (from name/address, footer address), update add-on settings, generate API keys, and access/edit your team.

*If you set up a subaccount as direct billed, you will only see the demo and retired options here. Only the direct billed subaccount can activate their account from trial, which requires them to enter billing and credit card information upon activating from the invitation email.

Click the Set account defaults button at the top of the Accounts page to see your options for saving time during the account creation process by using default settings. Each time you click to create a new account, the form will populate with the defaults you've set.
