Using campaign builder

No headers

If you have an enterprise account, you have access to certain assets that have been turned on for your account: Template Builder, image sharing, document sharing and campaign sharing. (Give us a shout if you don't have access and would like to.) Let's talk about campaign sharing, which lets you create a full mailing using the drag & drop editor, built upon the templates you're familiar with, and share it with the sub-accounts of your choice.

Campaign Builder is available only to Emma Enterprise customers.

(Think of a campaign or mailing as the content you're placing on top your template, like when you write on a piece of stationery. The template you create with Template Builder is placed in the My Templates section of your sub-account's Template Gallery, and the campaign or mailing you create with Campaign Builder appears in a Shared tab of your sub-account's Campaigns page.)

Go to Menu at the top-right of your account, and choose Assets. Click the Campaigns tab, and click Create a new campaign.

Here you can build campaigns at the parent level using the drag & drop editor and templates you're familiar with.

We've introduced a new locking feature to Campaign Builder. You can now lock an entire campaign at the parent level, which locks down all content in the campaign (including the subject line).

Sub-accounts that you've shared a locked campaign with will see this message when they open that mailing and will only be able to send the campaign as it is.

You can also choose to lock specific elements of the campaign, leaving other elements open to editing by the sub-account.

Your sub-accounts will see this message for any locked content blocks in the mailing.

Once you have your mailing looking as you'd like it to, click the arrow next to the Save button and choose Save & share.

On this page, you can set a subject line, if you'd like it to be set for your clients. You'll select to share the mailing with all current and future sub-accounts or select from your list of sub-accounts who should have this mailing on their Campaigns page.

Be sure to test your campaigns!
It's always smart to test your campaigns before sending them to your audience. To test a campaign you've built with Campaign Builder, simply head to one of the sub-accounts you've shared the campaign with and choose the option to Send Test, just as you would with a standard mailing.

Prefer to code your own campaigns?
You can! Head here to learn about Code Your Own for Campaign Builder.

Click Save shared campaign at the top-right when your selections are made. This jumps you back to the Campaigns tab of your Assets page.

You can easily jump in to edit a mailing and change with which accounts it's shared by clicking the downward-pointing arrow to the right of the mailing.

Once you've shared the mailing, it will appear in a new Shared tab on the sub-account's Campaigns page.
