Send process for Authors and Editors in Emma HQ accounts

This guide references the updated product experience for our new Emma HQ Approvals process. Learn more about the Emma Plus account process.

 

 

 

Users with Author and Editor permission levels can create campaigns but cannot send them; instead, they submit scheduled campaigns to the account Owner or a subaccount Manager for review.

Submit campaigns for review as an Author or Editor

When an author or editor is working on a campaign in the editor, the Review & Send function is not available and instead appears simply as Next.

Unlike the Review and Send process, authors and editors do not have the option to run a subject-line split test.

The Send or Schedule options have been replaced by the Schedule & Submit button. Clicking it brings up this:

The user can select the day and time he or she would like the mailing to be sent.

Clicking Submit for approval will schedule the mailing and mark it is as “Pending approval”.

Reviewing campaigns submitted by Authors and Editors

Emma HQ account owners and managers can decide if they would like to receive email notifications when a mailing is submitted for approval:

Once an author or editor submits a campaign for review, owners and managers set to receive notifications will receive an email that looks like this:

Clicking Review mailing will take the manager to the Emma HQ home to review and modify the details of mailings that are pending approval or scheduled to be sent. Clicking Review allows the manager to review the content and audience, as well as review or modify the sender information (from name, from email address, reply to email address), subject line, and send time.

The campaign will be listed as “Pending Approval” in the Scheduled tab of the Campaigns section until a manager or owner approves the mailing and it is sent.
