Emma for MINDBODY: FAQs

I can’t authenticate with my MINDBODY credentials

There are 3 basic types of MINDBODY login accounts: corporate (if a franchise), business owner, and staff. Staff accounts can be grouped into several different permission groups. For a full breakdown of how MINDBODY permissions work, head here.

For non-franchises with a single MINDBODY site, authentication requires the business owner account. This is the original account that was used to set up the MINDBODY site.

For franchises with a corporate login, you'll need to use the corporate login for the first authentication screen and a staff login for the second authentication screen. This is due to a bug in MINDBODY's API, which they are currently working to fix. If you do not have a staff login, you'll need to create one before you install Emma for MINDBODY; you can find instructions for this here.

If your account is based outside the US, you’ll need to contact MINDBODY for assistance authenticating your account.

My recently created fields aren’t populating data in Emma

Due to caching, you may not see data come through for fields you've just created; if this is the case, try waiting at least 5 minutes and then sync again.

Why don’t my Membership Type counts in Emma match what’s in MINDBODY?

We currently only sync member info for the most recent contract. If you use membership contracts in a way that allows your members to have more than one active contract at a time, there may be some discrepancies in the numbers because as we only bring in data for the contract with the most recent contract start date.

How can I connect multiple MINDBODY studios to my Emma account?

You can only connect one MINDBODY site per Emma account. If you're an Enterprise user, you can connect one MINDBODY account per Emma sub-account.

I can’t disconnect my MINDBODY account

If you need to disconnect the Emma for MINDBODY connection, click the icon of the set of tools in the top right of your account and select Apps. in the list of apps , find MINDBODY and click Revoke Access. That will remove MINDBODY from your Emma account. If also need to remove Emma from your MINDBODY account, you'll need to reach out to MINDBODY Support for instructions.
