Emma for Shopify makes it easy to monitor the success of your email marketing campaigns by tracking purchases in your store that came directly from links in your Emma mailings.
If you’ve installed Emma for Shopify and connected your Emma account, you’ll see a small Shopify icon in the upper right corner of the Emma editor whenever you’re creating an email.
This indicator is displayed in grey when your Emma account is connected to your Shopify store, but you don’t have any links to your store in your email.
If you add a link to any page on your Shopify site to your Emma email, this indicator will turn green to confirm that our link tracking tool has detected a link to your store. You can click the indicator for confirmation that we’ve detected a link on your Shopify site. In order to be detected, the link must contain your Shopify store URL; if you use a link shortening service to abbreviate the link, it will not be recognized.
Emma for Shopify’s ROI tracking enables you to track link clicks in your Emma emails to determine which clicks resulted in purchases made from your store. To get a high-level view of how your email campaign performed, check out the “Purchases” section at the bottom of the “Overview” tab in your email’s response entry.
To view your email’s purchase activity by individual recipient, click the “Purchases” tab in your email’s response entry. This section will display which recipients made purchases, when they purchased, the total dollar amount of their purchase, and the unique order IDs of their purchases.
ROI tracking works by tracking user activity in your Shopify store that originates from a link in your Emma email. This tracking opens up possibilities for different outcomes based on different scenarios. Let's take a look at a few here.
