I'm having trouble logging in

Don't fret; it happens. Here are the steps to try when you just can't get logged into your account, even after resetting your password.

  1. Your username and password are case-sensitive. Double-check that you're entering them exactly as they were created.
  2. Make sure you're typing in your username and password and not pasting them or letting your browser automatically fill them in. (Pasting can include extra characters, and your browser may fill in old credentials.)
  3. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, shutting down the browser and restarting it before attempting to log in again.

Here's an explanation of the messages you might run into on the login page:

You've entered the wrong username or password.

You've attempted to reset your password, and the username you've entered is not your username. (Remember that usernames are case-sensitive.)

You've requested to have a password reset message sent your way. Something to note is that the email address on file for these messages might not be the same as your username (if your username is also an email address). It typically is, but if you haven't received the password reset email to your inbox or spam folder within 15 minutes, let us know, and we'll check on this for you.

You've attempted to log in too many times, so your account's been locked out for 30 minutes. You can contact us, or try clearing your browser's cache and cookies to flush out this error if you've had a flash of memory and hit upon your true login credentials.
