This article explains how certain users can export contacts to a CSV file.

Which User Roles Can Export Contacts?

Only certain users have permission to export contacts. Any users who do not have permission to export contacts simply will not see the option to export. Below is a breakdown of which user roles have this permission.

Exporting Contacts to a CSV

	Contacts in the archive cannot be exported. You must restore archived contacts to the audience in order to export them.

 

1. Navigate to your Audience tab.
2. To export your entire audience, click on the Export button on the right.
3. To export contacts in a group or segment, click on the Groups section or Segments section in the panel on the left. Click on the name of the desired group or segment to open it.
   • Group: Click on the Export button on the right.
   • Segment: Click on the button on the left and select Export from the dropdown menu.
4. In the pop-up window that appears, check or uncheck the boxes based on which contacts you'd like to export.
5. Click on the Export button once you've made your choices.
6. A confirmation message will appear in the pop-up. Click on the link to jump to your Exports section.
7. Click on the dropdown arrow that corresponds to the file that you just generated.
8. Select Download this export from the menu.

Your file will download as a CSV to your device. To access your exports again at a later time, follow these steps:

• Tiered accounts: Navigate to the appropriate subaccount, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of your screen, and choose Exports from the dropdown menu.
• Standalone accounts: Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of your screen and choose Exports from the dropdown menu.
